Lighting Modifiers

The Zoom Reflector has been a firm favorite of photographers all over the world for more than four decades. Grids are easy to use accessories designed to control the light spread and to bring contrast and drama to the final image. And here the word ‘control’ really is key. With a grid attached it’s easy to control and focus the light where you want it, while limiting the light spillage in other areas of the image. It simply adds control to light shaping.

The Grids 100 mm are mounted directly onto Profoto flat fronted lights and used to shape your key light, create background effects in portraits, or accentuate the highlights in still life photography, among many other things.

Profoto’s 65″ diameter deep umbrellas have a deep parabolic shape compared with the average umbrella. The deeper the shape, the better control you have of the light spread. It also allows you to focus and shape light by simply sliding the umbrella shaft backward or forward in its holder. The Umbrella Deep Silver creates a crisp, direct light with more contrast and a high light output, a little like the light you’d get from a hard reflector.

The Medium, 41″, Umbrella Shallow is the go-to light modifier when you need a soft light with wide light spread. It’s lightweight and fast to set up, and takes up very little space in your bag when folded. Translucent umbrellas are used to shoot through and they diffuse and soften the light by reducing contrast. Translucent umbrellas are perfect to create soft light when you’re very close to your subject.

This 33″ White Translucent Umbrella is a versatile all-around light modifier that will create a pleasing light that’s far less harsh than a bare light source. It can be used with flash, LED, or fluorescent light sources.
