This Profoto 50° Softgrid for 1.0 x 4.0′ RFi Softbox is made with high-quality fabrics and is an ideal way to direct and control the light output of your Light Shaping Tool. Collapsible, portable, and extremely lightweight, fabric grids have no supporting frame of their own. The Profoto RFi Softgrid Strip reduces the light spread to 50°. In other words, it creates a more directed light and eliminates a large amount of spill light, allowing you to shape the light with even more precision. Once the job is complete, just detach and fold it down to a fraction of its size and store it in the included fabric bag. These grids hook-and-loop to all sides of the recessed front area to provide for fast and easy setup as well as a more controlled beam spread. All RFi Softboxes have a recessed front that allows you to attach a softgrid. By limiting the spread of light, a softgrid can help to create more contrast in your images, resulting in a more dramatic and moodier look. In regard to reducing unwanted spill light, it is especially useful when you need to avoid illuminating the background or surrounding areas.
