WHAT do you need?
Getting started is simple. Select the cameras, lenses, lighting or other production equipment your project will require. You can use our Equipment Catalog and project building tools to create your list. You can also email your needs or pick up the phone and give us a call. Keep in mind, just because you don’t see something you’d like, doesn’t mean we can’t try and get it for you.
Once this list is submitted we can determine availability, possibly offer alternative solutions and send you an Equipment Order with pricing included.
WHEN do you need it?
Determine the dates of your shoot. Then think about your equipment pick up and return dates. We will need this information to determine availability and the number of rental days to bill. Usually, camera preps are done the day before production begins on the pick up day.
Equipment is rented on a daily basis. Many shoot days begin before dawn and end after sunset. To accommodate this we do not bill for your pick up and return days. Keep in mind, equipment is due back to the rental house by 10 AM on the return day. Weekly, four to seven day rentals are typically billed at only three days. Monthly or other longer term rentals are also possible.
WHO will be renting?
Now we will want to know a little bit about you. Getting started involves opening an account. Whether you’re an individual or business we will ask for your contact information and a little background. We require a credit card authorization to be kept on file and you will execute our Rental Agreement.
For most rentals we ask to be issued a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming us Loss Payee and Additional Insured. Insurance can be tricky, but we’re here to help. Here you can find a sample COI.
HOW to proceed?
We will build an Equipment Order based on the list of equipment you’ve provided for the dates of your production. We will verify the account and insurance information you’ve given us and work with you to set the schedule for your pick up and return dates. Once we have your account set up and you sign the Equipment Order getting started is complete and we will reserve that equipment for your shoot.
The first time you rent with us we will charge your credit card up front. If we are able to extend terms we will work with you to determine how payment will be made on subsequent orders. Subsequent orders are simple as sending us your gear list and dates and we’ll reply with an Equipment Order.
Now you’re all set!
Don’t Let the Lack of Insurance Get You Down
