Arri / Zeiss 11-110mm T2.2

The ARRI / Zeiss 11-110mm T2.2 is a fast, compact zoom lens designed specifically for the Super-16 format. The high iris opening remains constant throughout the zoom range and the lens has full macro functions.

The ARRI / Zeiss 11-110mm T2.2 lens features T* multi layer coatings on all glass-to-air surfaces to optimize color saturation, enhance contrast and reduce flare to a minimum. The neutral color correction of the lens (standard on all Zeiss lenses) guarantees the absolute interchangeability with all other T* multi coated lenses.

The lens has integral gear rings for zoom, iris and focus control. The lens also features internal focusing, so that clamp on Matte Boxes can be mounted directly onto the lens. Originally designed as a fast, compact, parfocal zoom for cameras like ARRI SR3, it’s still respected and used by many Super16 users.

For those of you who prefer modern FF equivalents, this lens will give you the 31.5-317mm FF equivalent when used on a camera like BMPCC, so while it might not be super wide at the wide end, the range is still incredible considering that it has the constant speed of T2.2 thought the zoom range.
