Optimized for film and digital cameras reducing lateral colour aberration and providing an organic bokeh, Cooke S7/i Prime FF lenses are designed to provide maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration. The S7/i series are a comprehensive line-up of 14 focal lengths from 16mm – 300m, colour matched to Anamorphic/i and Panchro/i Classic. Cooke’s /i Technology enables cameras to automatically store key lens data on everything from lens setting and focusing distance to aperture and depth-of-field. The optics are designed to give maximum performance at full aperture with control of flare, distortion, and spherical aberrations, while it has also been well balanced for astigmatism and corrected for lateral and longitudinal aberrations over the entire image area. Equipping cinematographers with essential information, it streamlines production and post processes while eliminating the need for guesswork. Each Cooke lens is hand crafted at the factory in Leicester, U.K, using a combination of state-of-the-art technology, traditional 100-year-old techniques and personal dexterity that come together to create these extraordinary lenses. A cam-type focus mechanism with a large lens barrel diameter and 270° of rotation allows for precision focus markings, especially at close focus. The Cooke S7/i Prime Lens Set feature a PL mount, which makes it compatible with most commonly used professional motion picture film and electronic cameras, and it has an aperture range of T2.0 to T22.
