Aputure Lantern
Ideal for use overhead or to raise the ambient illumination level, this Lantern Softbox from Aputure has a 2.2′ diameter and the same omni-directional quality of light as the China Balls of yore but built of durable materials. It has a skirt set to control the 270° beam spread and a Bowens mount that fits Aputure lights such as the 120d or 300d series, but is compatible with the many other lights that use this popular mount.

Aputure Lantern 90
Made for use with LED or strobe fixtures, the Lantern 90 from Aputure casts a near 360° soft light that spreads evenly over a large area. You can mount it horizontally or hang it overhead on a boom to raise the ambient light level, open up shadows, and let more focused fixtures work their magic.
Aputure Light Dome SE
This Light Dome SE from Aputure is a 16-sided modifier with a 33.5″ diameter. It has a soft wraparound quality that is a hallmark of this shape, especially when used close to the subject. It also has a few surprises that offer you several contrast options. The 1.5 and 2.5-stop front diffusion fabrics offer ways to manipulate the light. Also a removable 1.5-stop internal baffle softens the initial point source of light and allows it to fill the entire softbox more evenly. The 45° fabric grid provides directional control to enable selective lighting.

The high-quality cloth preserves your light’s original color temperature, and the two layers of diffusion have been specially designed to produce extremely soft light.
