The Optimo DP 16-42mm with an aperture of T2.8 is a lightweight and compact PL mount cinema zoom lens designed for digital cameras. It deliver the superior zoom optics, functionality and ergonomics that DP’s demand. The lens features internal focus design for a constant length as focus is changed and exhibits no signs of breathing during focus pulls. The focus ring rotates through 320° of rotation, providing room for over 20 precise witness marks. Plus, like all Angenieux lenses, the Optimo DP Series features unique mechanical design for precise zoom and focus. It brings the best of film to the world of large format digital production. Designed for digital cameras, The Optimo DP 16-42 delivers the superior zoom optics, functionality and ergonomics that DP’s demand. The ideal match for the Optimo DP 30-80mm. The lens is lightweight for its zoom range at only 4.2 pounds and features a 114mm front outside diameter, which fits many optional production matte boxes.

Not for use on 35mm film cameras, due to extended rear element, which does not clear the mirrors on film cameras.
