The Angenieux Optimo 28-340mm T3.2 Telephoto Lens with 12x Zoom is a fast zoom that has been specially designed for image coverage up to 31.4mm diagonal for compatibility with all S35 Film and Digital cameras, and full frame 5K format of RED Epic, among others. This version of the lens ships with a PL mount, it features a constant T3.2 aperture and focuses down to 4′ in front of the image plane. The fast T3.2 maximum aperture in Super35 allows you to light to a lower illumination level than would normally be required for many zooms, making for more consistent images as you may not have to relight the scene as is often the case when moving from primes to slower zoom lenses. The 162mm front diameter of the lens is compatible with larger cinema-style matte boxes. The Angenieux Optimo 28-340mm lens produces impressive contrast and color reproduction that rivals the highest performing prime lenses. This zoom lens is essentially an enhanced version of Optimo 24-290 with larger image circle and longer focal length. The lens features independent focus, iris, and zoom control rings with cinema standard 0.8 MOD gear teeth.
