The ARRI WCU-4 Wireless Compact Unit is an industry-leading, wireless 3-axis handheld controller system that offers advanced camera and lens control features. It includes an integrated lens display and camera control functions, follow focus, iris, and/or zoom from a distance. Great in situations like when shooting handheld, using a stabilizer, gimbal or crane, or other instances where the operator is not close to the lens. When the ARRI WCU-4 is used with the ARRI Alexa Mini, no motor controller is required, which is ideal when weight and speed are critical. In additional, camera functions are controllable for ARRI ALEXA Mini, such as shutter angle, frame rate, internal ND selection and more. This kit will be extremely useful to filmmakers where a stable radio connection is required through obstacles or over a long distance, such as action shots involving vehicles, or on a socially distanced set where the focus-puller, camera assistant, or DIT is positioned outside of a building or on another floor
Vibrating markers and a backlit display make it easy to use the ARRI WCU-4 in low light levels. Multiple 3/8″-16, 1/4″-20, and M4 mounting points enable you to attach the controller to a rig when convenient, for on-the-go operation usually with wireless video monitoring. The three included LBUS motors are very lightweight but powerful enough for all cinema lenses.
ARRI AMC-1 and RF motors are available for compatibility with all cameras.
