Atlas Orion Anamorphic 25mm

In creating an immersively cinematic experience, it seems that one can never go wide enough. Until now – Presenting the 25mm T2 Orion Series.

Atlas Orion Anamorphic 25mm:

Cinematographers all over the world love the look of Atlas Orion anamorphic lenses. No one has been able to create such an immersive and cinematic experience on a wide angle lens, until Atlas released the Atlas Orion Anamorphic line of lenses. Designed by cinematographers for cinematographers, the Orion Anamorphic 25mm prime from Atlas Lens Co. produces a vintage anamorphic look for Super 35-sensor cine-style cameras. The 25mm creates a wide-angle field of view with the shallow depth of field found in a telephoto prime. Anamorphic lens characteristics include “waterfall” bokeh, streak effects, and a spherical aberration glow when used wide open. You will certainly notice the extremely low distortion for an incredibly wide lens. We’re talking about 109º horizontal field-of-view with 2x anamorphic squeeze. This lens covers traditional anamorphic 4:3 film and digital sensor formats up to 24.89mm x 18.66mm. Full frame formats can also get edge-to-edge coverage with the Atlas 1.6x LF Extender. Uniquely, this lens creates twice the horizontal field with the same vertical field of view as a similar spherical lens.  This mechanically dependable prime lens features a design that is standardized across the series with unified focus and iris gear positions. The Orion 25mm prime comes with focus marks in feet but can be switched by the user to meters using a separately available focus scale. Use this Orion series lens to create a vintage anamorphic look replete with “waterfall” bokeh, streak effects, and a spherical aberration glow when used wide open.
