ARRI Amira:
ARRI Amira features the same sensor and exceptional image quality as the ARRI ALEXA, recording superior HD 1080 or 2K pictures that are suitable for any distribution format. Important changes to the Alexa are that it is significantly shorter and lighter than the Alexa and has a much smaller power draw as well. With a dynamic range of more than 14 stops, low noise levels, subtle highlight handling, natural color rendering, breathtaking skin tones and speeds of up to 200 fps, AMIRA will deliver beautiful, life-like images in any situation. The Amira records Rec. 709 or Log C images in camera using ProRes 422, 422 (LT), 422 (HQ), or 4444 codecs — but not ARRIRAW. The AMIRA is suitable for a great variety of production types, from TV drama and low-budget movies to nature films, sports coverage, commercials, reportage, branded content, and multicamera live TV—use it wherever you are headed and for whatever you need to shoot. The ARRI Amira has become a standard go-to solution for documentary productions due to its robust built quality, legendary ARRI reliability and production-ready form factor. What many camera operators don’t realize however, is that the Amira can be fitted with a PL mount adapter to easily mount 2/3” Broadcast HD lenses. The versatile ARRI Amira records in-camera to CFast 2.0 cards, with the option of simultaneously capturing to an external recorder.
